There are multiple hotels near The Oviatt Penthouse. The Los Angeles Athletic Club and Per LA Hotels are not only the closest - across the street and next door - they've also offered our guests great discounts.
Los Angeles Athletic Club

The LAAC has a rich history in Hollywood's Golden Era, with famous past residents including Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks and Rudolph Valentino. The art deco style echoes the look of our venue, The Oviatt Penthouse.

Guests will have access to the full range of amenities at the club, including restaurants, the fitness center, fitness and yoga classes, aquatic center, Neptune Spa, racquetball courts, basketball courts, and more.

The Los Angeles Athletic Club is across the street from The Oviatt and they're offering our guests a substantial discount. *Because LAAC is a private club, there is a $25/night "membership" fee in addition to the regular room cost. That includes a $15/night room credit which will help offset the fee. You can find more info about the offer from LAAC here

Hotel Per La

Hotel Per La is a beautiful new Italian-flavored addition to the LA hotel scene located next door to The Oviatt and has 3 restaurants: Per L'Ora, Bar Clara and Café Ora. They have a gorgeous rooftop bar that's open to guests.

Millennium Biltmore
​
The Millennium Biltmore has been a gorgeous and legendary Los Angeles landmark since 1923. The Biltmore was a covert speakeasy during prohibition, and was the original location of the Oscars.
​
While we don't have a discount code for the Biltmore, the rates are similar to and in some cases better than the discounted prices at Hotel Per La and the LAAC, and it's right around the corner from the Oviatt. Be sure to book through their site as you'll find the best rates there. Members of My Millennium, their free loyalty program, save about 12%.
​
Amenities include indoor jacuzzi and pool, but one of the most stunning places in this hotel is the Gallery Bar and Cognac Room.
​
In celebration of their 100-year anniversary, the Biltmore recently announced they're bringing back High Tea in December on Saturdays and Sundays, so that might be a great way to spend your Saturday afternoon if you're staying that long.
​
The Biltmore is pet-friendly.

PARKING
While there is no parking at our venue, there is paid parking nearby, as well as self and valet parking across the street at the LA Athletic Club. We suggest using a ride share service if you're local.

Pay Parking Lots
There are 2 nearby lots available for outside parking, one across the street from the Oviatt and one next door to the southwest. Both, to the best of our knowledge, are $10 if you park after 4 p.m. These are small lots with all the attendant issues small lots can have, so be aware it may be necessary to leave your keys and/or wait for someone's car to be moved when you're ready to go.
AIR TRAVEL
LAX
Los Angeles International Airport
LAX is the main airport in Los Angeles, and you'll be able to get there from anywhere in the world. LAX is 16 miles from The Oviatt area, which can be accessed by taxi or ride share. The taxi/ride share area at LAX is located outside Terminal 1, and can be accessed by foot from Terminal 1 or by free shuttle from other terminals.
BUR
Burbank Bob Hope Airport
Burbank Airport is smaller and easier to traverse than LAX. Burbank Airport is also 16 miles from The Oviatt area, which can be reached by taxi or ride share. The taxi/ride share areas are directly outside the arrivals area at BUR - adjacent to the departures area.
Public Transportation
While better for the environment, due to the sprawl of the city we don't recommend public transportation in Los Angeles for this event.
RESTAURANTS

BOTTEGA LOUIE
Bottega Louis is a French restaurant right around the corner from The Oviatt and the hotels mentioned above, and it's one of our favorite spots in downtown LA. They're famous for their macarons, and their menu is truly incredible. If you have time for brunch while you're in town, visit Bottega Louie, get a mimosa and a Croque Madame (ask for a plate of bread as well), and don't leave without a beautiful box of macarons!
