Can I bring a guest?
Due to limited space, we're only able to accommodate guests included on your invitation.
Are children invited?
This is an adults-only affair.
What should I wear?
Formal black and white attire - think black and white ball. Floor-length gowns, tuxedos, faux furs, diamonds, sparkle. Just make sure you're in black or white. There are no guidelines specifically for men and women - women can wear tuxes and men can wear gowns. Be your fabulous self.

Can I wear any other colors besides black and white?
No. Black and white attire only.
So... does "white" mean I can
wear my wedding dress?
Can you see your dress on the red carpet at an awards ceremony or The Met Gala? If the answer is yes - wear it! If it's really only appropriate for your wedding or a more casual dress, this is your chance to wear something else from your closet or buy something new!
Will the wedding be indoors
or outdoors?
The Oviatt Penthouse is an indoor/outdoor space, and the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors on a clear-tent-covered rooftop deck. There will also be several heaters spaced throughout the area.
We'll have blankets and pashminas available to keep you warm if you get a chill, though the tent keeps the warm air in, so cold shouldn't be a problem.
What will the weather be like?
December in LA is typically cool but not frigid. However, given that our event will occur after the sun sets, temperatures may get down to the 40s or 50s. Heat lamps will be placed throughout the outdoor areas, and blankets and scarves will be provided.
We encourage you to get into the festive spirit by wearing faux furs and nice coats - but don't forget that they need to be black or white.
Can we bring a gift to the venue?
We'd prefer that you not bring physical gifts with you. If you choose to buy us a gift, please purchase through our registry and we'll be able to choose when and where we receive it.

When are RSVPs due?
No later than November 8. If you haven't RSVP'd by that date, we'll mark you down as not attending. Your RSVP will be complete only after you have emailed proof of vaccination (including the most recent booster) for you and any guests to hello@suzanneandscott.com. You'll need to be on a list at the door to enter, so if you'd like to be at the wedding, make sure to complete your RSVP on time.
Please be prepared to show proof of vaccination at the door.

What if I plan to get the booster after November 8?
Please send in your most up-to-date proof of vaccination by November 8, then send proof of booster when you have it. We know this is extra work for you, but it means that much to us that our guests are protected.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive at 5:30. Ceremony will begin promptly at 6 p.m.
When/where is the reception?
Cocktail hour will start immediately after the ceremony inside the penthouse. You'll be ushered back outside for dinner and dancing.
How do I get to the penthouse?
There will be a security guard on the street level of the building near the entrance to the Cicada Club. The security guard will ensure you're on the list and dressed appropriately, and will let you on the elevator to the top floor.
Is there parking available?
While there is no parking specifically for our venue, there are paid parking lots nearby - please check our travel page for details. We suggest taking a ride share or booking a hotel.

Why do we have to be fully vaccinated if LA County no
longer requires it?
We want to do everything we possibly can to protect our most vulnerable guests and family members. Given the date, we'll all have been with our families for the holidays, and we'd like to do what we can to prevent the spread of Covid.
We also believe in the science of protecting ourselves with Covid-19 vaccines and boosters. If you're not vaccinated and boosted with the most recent booster (released in fall, 2023), you won't be able to attend our wedding.

Do I need to eat first?
Only if you want to be very full by the end of the night. Immediately following the ceremony we'll have passed appetizers, and dinner will be family style with lots and lots of food. The dessert selection will be fierce, and there might even be late night bites.
Will you have vegetarian/vegan food?
While dinner is meat- and fish-based, there will be several vegan dishes as well. If you have other dietary concerns you'd like us to be aware of, please let us know at hello@suzanneandscott.com.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes. We'll have a full open bar from 6:30-11:30.
